Alpaca Fiber Cooperative
of North America

AFCNA

This alpaca fiber cooperative is a vital component
of the future of the alpaca industry.

The future of the alpaca industry is the alpaca fiber. Without an alpaca fiber market, there is no real alpaca industry.

Fortunately, we can all be part of fiber business through participation in AFCNA!

This fiber cooperative is completely owned by North American alpaca fiber producers. They believe that quality alpaca products can be manufactured in the United States on an industrial scale as a successful and sustainable business venture.

You must be an alpaca owner and must purchase one share of voting common stock in order to become a shareholder. That is all!

As a shareholder you are expected to support their business activities in some manner. Of course, you will want to submit at least some of your annual shearing to the fiber coop. However, you can also purchase alpaca products for your own use or for resale. It is easy to participate in elections. And you can even volunteer your services. Not too hard!

Furthermore, as a shareholder, you can profit from your venture with this fiber coop in several ways. You will receive credit for your alpaca fiber contribution. Also, you will obtain your proportionate share of profits from the sale of alpaca products. And you can purchase alpaca products at discounted prices. What a deal!

The Alpaca Fiber Cooperative was formed in 1998, and is headquartered in Decatur, Tennessee. Their small staff handles administration of the coop, management of product manufacturing, and packing/shipping of product sales. The Board of Directors is responsible for the vision of the coop as well as its finances.

AFCNA now has over 1,500 shareholders working to create a viable national alpaca fiber industry. They encourage alpaca owners of any size alpaca farm to join them in their efforts.

We are planning to join them after our shearing this year. We want to be part of this business opportunity!
