Alpaca Magazine

An alpaca magazine has valuable alpaca information,
and is highly entertaining, too.

I get so excited when I open my mailbox, and I see a magazine with photos of adorable alpacas, and luxurious alpaca products! The magazine makes it to the top of my reading list!

OK, so now you know that my life revolves around alpacas. :-)

The most prominent magazine about alpacas is called Alpacas Magazine – go figure! OK, so alpaca owners are not the most imaginative folks.

This magazine is the official journal of the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA). And AM is published five times per year: December, March, May, June, and September. The May magazine is the Herd Sire issue – you can post their photos in the girls’ barn!

At this time, AM is included with AOBA membership. But you can still subscribe to AM even if you are not an AOBA member.

They believe that their magazine is the “#1 best source of alpaca information on the market” and I tend to agree with them.

AM covers everything having to do with alpacas including husbandry, research, business, news, fiber, fashion, shows, human interest, and much more. I read my magazine from cover-to-cover!

You can even advertise in AM, too.

Another alpaca magazine that will be brand new during spring 2010 is Ohio Alpaca Life .

This publication is the official magazine of the Ohio Alpaca Breeders Association (OABA). This magazine will be a quarterly publication.

At this time, Ohio Alpaca Life is only included with OABA membership.

Their mission is to inform Ohio alpaca breeders about news, events, shows (including AlpacaFest which they sponsor), and resources around Ohio. Also, they will provide general alpaca education. Furthermore, this magazine will serve as a link between OABA and Ohio alpaca owners.

Also, they encourage pertinent advertising as well.

And yet another alpaca publication is called Alpaca World Magazine . This magazine is directed at the United Kingdom, Europe and the international market using contributions from international experts. They even have free online articles about alpaca husbandry and alpaca fleece.

I wish you lots of hours of happy reading! You just have to figure out which alpaca magazine to read first.
